Prune Pie aka Tert di Preimu, is a delicious and juicy Pie containing deseeded prunes.
Ingredients
Dough:
- ½ lb cold butter
- ¾ cup of cold milk
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 2 teaspoon of baking powder
- 2 cups of flour
Filling:
- 1 lb of deseeded prune and cut in small pieces
- 2 cups of water
- 1 lb of brown sugar
- 3 tablespoon of all purpose flour
- ¼ teaspoon of mace of nutmeg
- ¼ teaspoon of cinnamon

Preparation
Dough :
- Mix the baking powder salt and flour together in a bowl
- Add in the cold butter
- Pour the cold milk slowly in the mixture
- No knead the mixture by hand slowly until all the ingredients
- Flat dough into the pie plate(s)
- Save the rest in a refrigerator
Filling :
- Put the prunes into the water and put them on medium high heat.
- After about 5 minutes or prune is soft, add the suger and the flour and mix them using a wooden cooking spoon
- Let them cook on medium heat until mixture becomes thick.
- Remove pot from heat and add the rest of the ingredients into it while stiring with the wooden spoon
- Let it cool off and then add into the pie plate(s) that the dough has been added.
- The rest of the dough, flat with a roller and slice them in strips or any kind of design you desire and cover the pie with the dough.
- Let it bake for about 45 to 50 minutes at 400 degree
- Ready to serve when cooled off
