This Tuna Macaroni Casserole is a hearty baked dish made with macaroni, tuna, cheese, ham, peas, corn, vegetables, and a flavorful blend of seasonings. Ingredients
  • 3 cans tuna
  • 1 large package elbow macaroni
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 can peas
  • 1 can corn kernels
  • 1 large tomato
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 large bell pepper
  • 1 cup grated cheese
  • 1½ oz ham, cut from a piece rather than sliced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • A small amount of raisins
  • A small amount of prunes
  • Stuffed olives, to taste
  • Maggi seasoning, to taste
  • Soy sauce, to taste
  • Curry powder, to taste
  • Nutmeg, to taste
  • Cumin, to taste

Preparation


  1. Cook the macaroni in salted water until tender.
  2. Drain the macaroni well once it is cooked.
  3. In a pot, heat the butter and vegetable oil with the seasonings and cook briefly to release their flavors.
  4. Use a fork to break the tuna into small pieces, then add it to the seasoned mixture.
  5. Cut the ham into small cubes and add it to the pot with the tuna.
  6. Add part of the grated cheese to the cooked macaroni and mix well.
  7. Add the seasoned tuna and ham mixture to the macaroni and stir until everything is evenly combined.
  8. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  9. Beat the eggs and pour a small amount of the beaten egg into the bottom of the baking dish.
  10. Transfer the macaroni mixture to the baking dish.
  11. Sprinkle the remaining grated cheese over the top, covering the macaroni evenly.
  12. Bake at 350°F for about 40 minutes.
  13. Before removing it from the oven, insert a fork into the center to make sure the casserole is fully cooked.
  14. Serve the Tuna Macaroni Casserole on its own or with vegetables and/or fried potatoes.
